Privacy Policy

Busy Sloth Co (“we”, “us”, “our”) is a brand of Solve For Why Pte. Ltd., registered in Singapore. We take your privacy seriously and handle your personal data in accordance with Singapore’s Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (PDPA).
This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and what your rights are. We’ve kept it in plain English because legal jargon is the opposite of slowth.
What we collect
As little as possible.
When you join our newsletter, we collect your email address and the page you signed up from. That’s it. We don’t ask for your name, phone number, or anything else unless you choose to provide it later.
We also collect basic, anonymous usage data through our analytics provider (Umami). Umami does not use cookies, does not track individual visitors, and does not collect personal data. It tells us things like “42 people visited today” — not who those people are.
When you buy from the Store, we collect your name, email address, phone number and delivery address, and what you ordered. Payment is handled by Stripe: we never see or store your card details.
If you sign in to your account, we keep your email address and the date you last signed in.
How we use your data
Your email address is used to send you our weekly newsletter and occasional updates about Busy Sloth Co. It is held by our newsletter delivery provider (Resend), which processes your data as a data intermediary on our behalf.
Order details are used to process, deliver and support your order, to send you emails about it, and to keep the business records the law requires. Every buyer gets a customer record with us, which is what lets you see your orders and, one day, join our membership.
Third-party services
We use a small number of trusted services to run the site:
Resend — email delivery. Receives your email address to send the newsletter, and any order, delivery or sign-in emails. Their privacy policy is available on their website.
Umami — privacy-friendly web analytics. No cookies, no personal data collected, no cross-site tracking.
Vercel — website hosting. Serves the site content. Standard web server logs may be processed temporarily.
Stripe — payments. Processes your payment details securely; we never see your card number.
Supabase — our database. Stores customer and order records.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data with anyone. We never will.
Cookies
We set one cookie, only when you sign in, to keep you signed in. Our analytics (Umami) is cookieless. Your bag is remembered on your own device, not on our servers.
Your rights
Under the PDPA, you have the right to:
Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
Correction — ask us to correct any inaccurate data.
Withdrawal — withdraw your consent for us to use your data at any time. You can unsubscribe from our newsletter using the link in any email, or contact us directly.
To exercise any of these rights, email us at hey@busysloth.co. We aim to respond within 30 days.
Data retention
We keep your data for as long as you remain subscribed to our newsletter. If you unsubscribe or request deletion, we remove your data within 30 days from our systems and ask our service providers to do the same.
Children
Our site and services are not directed at anyone under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with their data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
Changes to this policy
If we make meaningful changes to this policy, we will update the “last updated” date at the top and, where appropriate, notify you by email.
